MNI China Business Sentiment Indicator
Insight into economic conditions in China

MNI China Business Sentiment Indicator tracks and predicts Chinese economic conditions, and provides important information ahead of official government data.
Survey sample includes roughly 75% manufacturing companies and 25% non-manufacturers.
Companies are asked about their experience over the last month and their expectations for conditions in three months. Some examples:
- Is the productive capacity of your company: higher, same, lower?
- Is production: higher, same, lower?
- Are the interest rates you pay: rising, the same, falling?
- Is the financial position of your company: better, same, worse?
About 180 interviews are conducted each month.
Survey results are published on the last Friday of the month at 09:35 a.m. Beijing time.
